Terms of Service

The rules for using OkruDownloader: what the service does and does not do, acceptable use, your responsibility for copyright, takedowns and limits.

By using OkruDownloader you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. The privacy policy explains what happens to the information involved and forms part of these terms.

What this service is

OkruDownloader is a free tool that reads a public OK.ru video page you provide and lists the video files OK.ru has published for it, so you can save one in the resolution you choose. It works only with links you already have. It does not sign in to OK.ru, cannot reach private, friends-only or deleted videos, and does not get around any access control.

  • Downloads come from OK.ru. The file you save is delivered by OK.ru's own servers, directly to your browser.
  • Files are not altered or kept. We do not convert, re-encode, watermark or store anything you download.
  • Quality is what OK.ru provides. Only the resolutions OK.ru has created for a video can be offered, and a low-resolution upload cannot be improved.
  • File addresses can expire. The address behind a download comes from OK.ru and may stop working after a while. If a download fails, look the video up again.

You are responsible for what you download

Whoever made a video owns it, and saving a copy does not transfer any rights to you. A video being public is not permission to reuse it — and some of what circulates on OK.ru was uploaded without the rights holder's consent.

Acceptable use

You may use this service to:

  • Save videos you uploaded to OK.ru yourself.
  • Save videos you have the rights holder's permission to keep.
  • Keep a personal copy for offline viewing where the law where you live allows it.

You may not use this service to:

  • Download, redistribute, sell or monetise content you do not own and have not been licensed to use.
  • Infringe copyright, trademark, publicity or privacy rights.
  • Obtain or distribute material that is unlawful to possess or share.
  • Attempt to reach videos that are private, restricted or deleted.
  • Call the lookup service from another website or app, embed or resell it, or present it as part of your own product.
  • Send automated, bulk or scripted requests, or scrape the service.
  • Probe, overload or disrupt the service or the systems it depends on.
  • Do anything unlawful where you are.

Downloaded content remains the property of its copyright holder. You alone are responsible for how you use anything you download, and for obtaining any permission you need.

We may refuse to process any video at any time, including after a valid copyright notice as described in our copyright policy. If you believe content is being used in a way that infringes your rights, that page explains how to tell us — and why reporting the video to OK.ru is the remedy that removes it everywhere.

Relationship to OK.ru

OkruDownloader is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by OK.ru, Odnoklassniki or VK. "OK.ru" and "Odnoklassniki" are trademarks of their respective owners. Your use of OK.ru itself is governed by OK.ru's own terms, which are between you and them. Using a third-party tool with a service may be restricted by that service's terms, and checking them is your responsibility.

Availability and changes to the service

The service is free and comes with no uptime commitment. It depends on OK.ru, which we do not control, so it can stop working without notice whenever OK.ru changes its pages. We may change, limit, suspend or discontinue any part of the service at any time, including introducing usage limits to keep it available for everyone.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not promise that a file you download is complete, accurate, safe to open or what its title says it is — it is whatever its uploader published.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue or profits, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless against claims arising from your use of the service or of content you download, including claims of copyright infringement.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated, and the date at the top of this page shows the last change. The October 24, 2026 revision combined sections that the previous version repeated and aligned the terms with how the service actually works. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
